Synopsis
1945. 12-year-old Søren's world is turned upside down when 500 German refugees are sent to the village, he lives in. Søren’s father who is the head of a folk high school (højskole), decides to get involved in the refugee camp for the civilian Germans. But Søren is torn. Should he support his father, who is helping the refugees, to great resistance in the city? Or should he go against his father and instead support the school's music teacher, Birk, who is a resistance fighter and against Svend's actions?
